The Los Angeles Lakers played the Golden State Warriors on Friday night preseason action. It’s not abnormal for star players to only put in limited minutes in preseason games. So if you are putting in bets on the games, there is a lot of uncertainty on the end result not knowing if the game’s biggest names will play or not. You can always look for TPP advice on NBA betting sites. But that said, I’m still not sure it’s completely normal for star players to leave the bench at half time, throw on a sweatsuit, and return to the bench with dinner in hand. But that’s exactly what Lebron James did on Friday night.

Some Lakers broadcasters and legends called out Lebron for this behaviour, saying it’s unprofessional and disrespectful to his teammates. Michael Cooper for one….

“I didn’t like it,” Cooper said on The Showtime Podcast. “I didn’t like that. Again, he’s LeBron James, but still, you got to have respect for the game man, man. He’s sitting over there. I don’t mind the guy eating, but go eat in the locker room, and then when you come out and be part of the team, not just sit at the end of the bench eating.”

But that’s when the internet did the internet thing, and went all conspiracy theory on us. It was pointed out by a fan on twitter that Lebron was eating with his left hand the entire meal. But he’s right-handed. That’s when the internet had everything from a ‘stunt double’ theory, to this theory that his eating left-handed is why he’s so ambidextrous in finishing at the rim with either hand….

The internet is always looking for ways to knock Lebron down a notch. Or just assuming the great Luka D is even going to get his number one day…

Dell Curry Ana Cheri

This summer the NBA universe was shocked to hear of the split between Steph Curry’s parents Dell Curry and Sonya Curry. It came as a surprise as the couple was often seen at games together watching either Steph or his brother Seth Curry. They always looks cozy and in love. Something must have happened to have Sonya move so fast to call for a split and divorce, but we don’t want to perpetuate the rumors.

What we do know is that Dell Curry was caught with cameras on Steph’s historic night this week becoming the greatest shooter of all time (GSOAT), flirting with nearby playboy playmates who had seats near him in the stands. They even stopped for some group shots after Steph set his mark on the NBA shooting greatness:

TMZ Sports caught up with the girls and got some thoughts on whether Dell was getting his game on in parallel to his son’s on court greatness….

Model Ana Cheri tells us her group of friends showed up to the historic game at Madison Square Garden together … and by coincidence, they ended up sitting right next to Dell in the front row.

Make no mistake — Dell never crossed lines or made anyone feel uncomfortable, but Ana’s friends back it up … the guy was clearly flirting.
Ana says she congratulated Dell on Steph’s success and chitchatted with him during the game … but after the group snapped shots with each other after the game, they parted ways.

H/T – TMZ Sports

Time will tell if Dell Curry starts to get in the game with playmates or whether he’s too old for that nonsense and looks for a partner more his vintage. In the meantime here are some pics of Ana Cheri from her instagram to keep you guessing:

Numerous NBA stars, both current and retired, have wanted to experience some thrill outside of the basketball courts, and they have found an easy way to accomplish that — by gambling. These basketball players have been seen on many occasions at some of the most prestigious Casinos of Las Vegas or Atlantic City, where they spent tremendous sums of money by playing various casino games.

The reasons why they have chosen gambling over other thrill-seeking activities (like extreme sports) are the convenience of the entertainment. This can now be accomplished with less effort than ever before with online casinos and gambling websites where you can place bets on your favorite teams or players when you understand NBA betting odds. Regardless of your interest in online gambling though, all basketball fans out there will be interested in having a look at the top four NBA players who have a passion for gambling as entertainment.

Michael Jordan

One of the greatest basketball players in the sport’s history, Michael Jordan, wasn’t only enthusiastic about basketball. One of his biggest passions (other than basketball) was gambling, including placing enormous bets on golf games. His favorite casino games are poker, roulette, and craps, which he used to play mostly at Atlantic City casinos. It is believed that MJ once lost over 1 million dollars when betting on one golf game, which certainly shows how passionate he was about gambling.

Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley shared the identical enthusiasm for gambling as his close friend, Michael Jordan. He was a frequent guest of luxurious Las Vegas casinos, where he spent notable sums of money. In the year of 2006, Barkley dissipated nearly 10 million dollars at several prominent Vegas casinos and got sued by one of them for not paying his losses of nearly 400k dollars. Despite this, he continued to gamble, as money is clearly not an issue for him.

J.R. Smith

Another legendary NBA superstar who used to play for teams including LA Lakers, Denver Nuggets, and New York Knicks, J. R. Smith was also well-known in the gambling circles. His multi-million dollar mansion once got broken into, and among things that were stolen was the suitcase with $15 000 in cash, that he meant to use solely for gambling. Some of his favorite casino games include blackjack and poker, but he also played slots oftentimes.

Antoine Walker

Antoine Walker got his enthusiasm and skills for gambling from his friend Michael Jordan. But unlike MJ, gambling has caused many difficulties for Walker, including gambling debts and addiction. By the year 2009, his financial situation caused him to struggle to pay debts of over 1 million dollars to more than ten different Vegas casinos. Before these problems, it is estimated that his total net worth was over 100 million dollars, so you can imagine how much money he squandered on gambling.

Allen Iverson

Even though Allen Iverson has played All-Star games 11 times and was one of the most skilled players of his time, his career has suffered a lot due to his large passion for gambling. What’s more, he has coped with alcohol and gambling addiction, and at the peak of his career, his net worth was over $200 million dollars. However, because of his venturous behavior, his financial losses were gigantic and he also got banned from multiple casinos due to inadequate behavior. His most preferred games were poker and blackjack.

Stylish NBA Players

NBA players not only attract the attention of the audience in games, but also outside the game with their fashion sense and lifestyle. Fans love to see their crisp looks off the field and reporters are always on the lookout to capture any unique style that can become the next fan favorite or give rise to a new talk of the town.

It is also noticeable that many NBA players not only wear stylish clothes simply to look good off the field. But, they also try out different styles to express their personalities and send a message to the fans. Whether it comes in the form of flashy shoes and headbands or designer suits in gala events, the fashion sense of NBA players will always leave a mark on the fans’ lives just like sportsbook betting bonuses.

There have been way too many style icons in the NBA to fit them in one list and still do justice at the same time. In the following list, in no particular order, we list the five most stylish NBA players of all time.

1. John Wall

This Washington Wizard’s point guard has top-notch styles most of the time he is noticed off the field. He loves dawning fashionable fur coats and shiny gold watches and sunglasses.

Even in his all-black attires, he stands out with the bright watches that he wears. It is also his signature style to complement his outfit with a pair of sneakers. The sneakers generally tone down the grave look he sometimes wears.

2. Dwayne Wade

The famous shooting guard of Miami Heat is one of the most stylish icons of all time in the NBA. His exceptional wardrobe often comprises of his own line of clothing.

His chic overcoats and dress suits often steal the show on social media. He sometimes wears dark overcoats with colored pants that are stark contrasts with each other but perfectly expresses his personality.

Some snow boots to complement this dress up is like an icing on top. Nonetheless, this NBA star is voted by many to be at the top of the stylish icon lists.

3. Devin Booker

The young shooting guard of Phoenix Suns has a good mix of both casual and formal styles. His blue and white striped suits complement perfectly with his shiny white chains and watches, and white sneakers.

The dark blue suit complements sharply with the light sneakers and makes him stand well apart. He also sports sleek turtlenecks which allow him to wear a very casual look.

4. Russell Westbrook

This Oklahoma City Thunder point guard probably has one of the most unique styles in all of NBA history because of his taste in vibrant color combinations. The 33-year-old star has the notoriety of wearing rainbow-hued coats, shirts, and pants.

Moreover, his clothing will generally be heavily contrasted with one another. He loved wearing Jordan and when he does not, it is still another chic alternative!

5. LeBron James

Our list would definitely be incomplete without the legendary LeBron James’s exceptional style. Despite being a senior NBA player, LeBron James still sports clothing that make him look much younger.

His iconic fedora hat goes perfectly with the casual outfit he often likes to wear. His style often includes wearing a jacket over a simple shirt and dress pants along with a pair of sleek Nike sneakers.

Lebron may be a bit more subtle in his style than the others on this list, but it’s impressive how he can flip from business attire, to casual, to fashion icon from day to day and fans don’t blink an eye. He can wear it all, and wear it well.

Final Thoughts

All the stars in this list have their own unique style that can barely be compared to one another. Everyone in our top 5 most stylish NBA players of all time have spectacular tastes in fashion.

However, our vote for the favorite style in the list definitely goes to Russell Westbrook because of the colorful and vibrant fashion sense he has that reflects his personality on everything he decides to wear.

Tatum Hairline Celtics

In his rookie season, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum emerged as one of the best young talents in the NBA. He has been a key cog in helping the Celtics qualify for the Eastern Conference Finals three of the last four seasons. He joined Utah Jazz rookie (at the time) Donovan Mitchell as the only rookies to score 20 or more points in seven consecutive postseason games since Julius Erving did in the ABA in 1972.

Tatum was later signed to a max-contract for his talents on the court, but he’s not only great at basketball. Tatum’s hairline, crafted by gloved barbers wearing an Andis Professional Styliner II trimmer, is fantastic. Compared to LeBron James’ hairline, which is a close second, Tatum has the best in the league.

On The Court

Tatum finished last season with a line of 23.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.4 steals are solid. This likely isn’t even his ceiling as he is just 22 years old. However, we often forget because Tatum came into the league producing right away.

At 6-foot-8 and 204 pounds, there are concerns that Tatum is fragile. However, even with his physique, he is a great rebounder. He can shoot from outside the arc (40.3%) but does better when the ball is distributed to him. With Year 4 in the works this year, this will be Tatum’s year to separate himself as the true alpha on the team.

The Hair

If the league gave NBA awards for best hair, Tatum would be right up there with the likes of LeBron, Zach LaVine, and Paul George. However, we are going to give captain honors to Tatum. Dating back to his rookie days, his veteran teammates knew it was great. He doesn’t use trimmers and meets up with his barber to cut his hair. Despite playing in Boston, Tatum makes the trip back to St. Louis to let the person he trusts work with his hairline.

The better question is who is the true MVP here? Tatum’s hairline or Julian Gutierrez, his barber? Since the draft day, Gutierrez has kept that same look going for four years of professional basketball, plus his younger days.

Benefits of the Eastern Conference

Since Tatum plays for the Celtics, he has the luxury of playing most of his games in the East Cost. That means on days that the team plays the Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, or Cleveland Cavaliers, he can make one extra trip to fit St. Louis and Gutierrez and Jules Unique Studio.

Tatum is just 22 years old, so we should appreciate this hair for many years to come. Hopefully, he doesn’t have to resort to any headbands like his former teammate Marcus Morris to protect balding. At the end of the day, you work with what is given to you, and Tatum rewarded some sort of beauty.

Who do you believe has the best hairline in the NBA?

Sports betting is a common type of gambling, and many punters worldwide love to bet on basketball events, particularly the NBA. Contrary to some beliefs, betting on NBA games isn’t a sure banker. In fact, it can be riskier than playing slots at a casino online such as Platin Casino. Over the years, several punters have placed huge bets on NBA games, and we’ll discuss them in this article.

Haralabos “Bob” Voulgaris

In 2000, Haralabos “Bob” Voulgaris, a Greek-Canadian punter, placed a bet of $70,000 on Los Angeles Lakers to win the season’s NBA championship. After waiting 6 months for the season to end, he won over half a million dollars and is considered to be one of the biggest winnings betting on basketball at the time. Today, Bob runs his own sportsbook, which he probably started using part of his winnings.

Floyd Mayweather

Popular as a professional boxer and nicknamed “The Money”, Floyd Mayweather is also among the punters who have placed huge bets on basketball. In June 2013, Floyd wagered a whooping sum of $5.9m on Miami Heat to beat the Indiana Pacers. With the result of the fixture ending in 99-76, the professional boxer made close to $6.5m in profit. He also won $200,000 profit placing a basketball bet in 2015.

UConn Huskies

While many punters love to bet on big competitions such as the NBA, there are also some who have won big betting on college games. One such is an anonymous Connecticut fan who placed a staggering $90,000 on his underdog team UConn Huskies to beat Villanova Wildcats in 2014. As luck will have it, the UConn Huskies upset the odds, winning 81-76, and the bettor walked away with over $390,000 as profit.

NBA Accumulator

Accumulators can be risky, but that is not the case for an anonymous punter from Western Australia in 2015. The punter predicted the entire 13 match NBA scorecard and placed a $5 bet. With most of the games playing to his favour, the puter cashed out $216,000, which could have easily dropped to C$20,500 following a tie between New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons at the end of the regular period.

NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley

Former NBA legend Charles Barkley is famous for placing big-money bets on basketball. One of his amazing bets was in 2002, when he placed $500,000 on New England to pull off an upset over the Rams. The game ended with New England winning 20-17, and the NBA Hall of Famer walked away with a payout of $800,000. Charles has also won and lost several bets over time, with his losses believed to be around $10m over the years.

Betting on basketball events is not just fun, but it can also be highly rewarding, as is the case with punters that we’ve mentioned so far in this article. However, you should never consider betting as a get-rich-quick scheme as it is equally possible to lose. To get the best experience betting on basketball events such as the NBA, consider choosing sportsbooks that offer high odds and a wide range of markets.

Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neal entered into a friendly bet this week about who would win between the league leading Milwaukee Bucks and Wade’s old team the Miami Heat. Shaq took the Bucks, and of course Wade took the Heat.

Unfortunately for Shaq the Heat got the win. But making it worse, the bet wasn’t for money, it was more of a prop bet. In Shaq’s case he is being forced by Wade to make good on the bet by letting his true hairline to grow in and kept for over a week. Even while on TV as an analyst for TNT.

According to the best online casinos and sports betting websites of CasinoShark, Shaq was probably right at the time the bet was placed to pick the Bucks, but hindsight is 20/20, and in the end he can’t renege on this bet.

Good for Shaq for following through, even if the hairline is a bit further back than he remembers….

“I just lined it up for y’all, so you all could see where my hairline starts. And it looks good and I’m proud to do it and I’m going to keep it all week.”

And people got jokes too…

At the end of the day, I think we can all agree that Shaq is being a good sport about this prop bet, and we would love to see more prop bets in the future with these fellas!

Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman wants to help keep the peace between the NBA and China.

As the fallout continues after Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey’s tweet in support of Hong Kong protesters, Rodman posted a video to his Twitter account. He is seen holding up a photo of himself with North Korea’s dictator Kim Jong Un and a separate photo of himself with President Trump.

While wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap, Rodman says: “Commissioner Adam Silver, I know a thing or two about diplomacy. Book me a ticket to Shanghai with you. Ambassador Rodman.”

The former Chicago Bulls star has close ties to both Kim and Trump, and has offered on numerous occasions to help mediate between North Korea and the U.S. He has visited North Korea as a private citizen in 2013 and also set up a controversial basketball game in North korea with former NBA players in 2014.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver issued a statement Tuesday saying the NBA supports Morey’s right to freedom of expression and that the league’s position “is about far more than growing our business.”

“It is inevitable that people around the world – including from America and China – will have different viewpoints over different issues,” Silver said in the statement. “It is not the role of the NBA to adjudicate those differences.”

“This is about far more than growing our business…Values of equality, respect and freedom of expression have long defined the NBA — and will continue to do so. As an American-based basketball league operating globally, among our greatest contributions are these values of the game.”

As most of you know, Raptors fans have come under fire for cheering when Kevin Durant suffered an injury during Game 5 in Toronto. The have been called trashy and classless from players to fans across the world.

So in true Canadian fashion, Raptors fan, Hamzah Moin, has decided to start a GoFundMe campaign to apologize for what transpired. The funds will be donated to Kevin Durant’s charity in order to apologize for what he says was the “ugly side of fandom” displayed by many fans.

Durant went down early in the second quarter, causing many Raptors fans to start cheering his departure. Although the crowds soon turned the cheers into “KD” chants, the initial damage was done.

“On behalf of the level-headed and true fans of Raptor Nation – from Toronto to Vancouver to Iqaluit to St. John’s, and any fans living outside of Canada: we wanted to say ‘sorry,’” Moin wrote in the campaign’s description.

Moin continued by admitting that while “we’re hungry for the championship,” the behaviour did not reflect Raptor’s fanbase.

“This isn’t cool. This isn’t right. This isn’t what I expect from fellow Canadians,” he wrote.

“So I’d like to at least do my part in turning lemons into lemonade and showing the world how uncrappy we are.”

As of this morning, less than a day since it started, the campaign has raised over $4,000 of a $25,000 goal, with donations ranging from $20 to $200.

The Kevin Durant Charity Foundation works to enrich the lives of at-risk youth from low-income backgrounds through educational, athletic, and social programs.

Regardless of the way this postseason has played out, seeing Gordon Hayward play again for the Boston Celtics will have to be one of this season’s feel-good stories. Two years ago, he suffered a horrific injury that sidelined him for all of last season. He received plenty of support from the NBA community, led by LeBron James and Isaiah Thomas. The 6-8 forward underwent surgery a few days after his injury, and then began rehab almost immediately.

An Assist from Video Games

During his road to recovery, Hayward reconnected with his other lifelong love – playing video games. Hayward had been a voracious gamer, as reported by Hartford Courant in their feature with Hayward. He played Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, and Xbox, and now plays on his PC. With his basketball activities limited, Hayward was able to play more video games than ever before. It turns out that by playing games it was the perfect way to divert his attention away from his injury. For Hayward, playing video games proved therapeutic.

“When you’re hurt like that, it can be pretty lonely and you can isolate yourself, and video games helped with that,” Hayward admitted. “Initially it helped me stop thinking about [the injury] too much, and I could get lost playing video games. In this day and age, you can still hang out with your friends across the country and play video games. I wasn’t around the team as much, but I was still able to be in contact with people and have fun.”

Some 18 months later, Hayward is back to playing basketball. Although, he manages to play video games “a little bit every day.” He has been known to play both League of Legends and Fortnite, with the latter topping Sandlot Games’ ‘Bestselling Online Games for 2018’ list. Its rise has been meteoric, as it is now being played by 3.4 million users across all platforms. The C’s Hayward is part of that 3.4 million, along with several NBA players who are into gaming. Like Hayward, Paul George (Oklahoma City Thunder), Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins (both Minnesota Timberwolves), and Reggie Jackson (Detroit Pistons) are hardcore gamers, and Fortnite is one of their favorite games.

A Gaming Culture

There is now a video game culture in the NBA, and Hayward is at the forefront. Along with the aforementioned players, Steven Adams of the Thunder, Terrence Ross of the Orlando Magic, and Josh Hart of the Lost Angeles Lakers are some of the other players into this Epic Games-developed multiplayer game. Players who are also into gaming but not necessarily Fortnite, include Jeremy Lin, who regularly plays Defense of the Ancients 2; Damian Lillard and Anthony Davis, who are both fans of NBA Live; and Russell Westbrook, who loves playing online poker.

Then again, Hayward is likely gaming’s biggest fan in the NBA, a fact underscored by ‘The Case for Gaming,’ an essay Hayward penned for The Players’ Tribune back in 2016. In it, the former All-Star shared his wealth of knowledge about gaming, and professed how “video games have always been an escape” and a form of fun as well as relaxation. That was the year before Hayward got injured. Now, after using video games as therapy, the two-year Celtic will likely have an even greater appreciation for his favorite pastime.

Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni remains hospitalized since Friday, but has improved enough from his intestinal virus to hope to be released today. D’Antoni has missed the Rockets’ last two games due to the illness.

The 2017 NBA Coach of the Year hopes to be released from the hospital Tuesday but won’t return for the team’s regular-season finale against the Oklahoma City Thunder that night.

Rockets assistant Jeff Bzdelik has coached the team the last two games, both of which resulted in blowout wins over the New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns. Bzdelik credits D’Antoni for those wins.

“This is a by-product of Mike and the culture he’s created here,” Bzdelik said. “Everybody is staying in their lane. Everybody is doing their job. It’s a credit to Mike and what he’s established here. Most importantly, the players have been awesome. Their leadership, you can’t have a good team, you can’t have a great team unless you have great internal leadership and we have great internal leadership.”

Houston is still in play for the Western Conference’s No. 2 seed.

On Tuesday night at the American Airlines Arena, Chris Bosch became the fourth player in Miami Heat history to have his jersey retired by the organization.

The Heat recognized Bosh’s significance in a ceremony that included a touching video tribute, fireworks and, of course, one last primal scream. With several former teammates, the current Heat team, members of the front office, and his wife and children in attendance, Chris Bosh gave a captivating speech after his No. 1 rose to the rafters.

The ceremony took place at halftime against the Orlando Magic. He was greeted with highlights of his six seasons in Miami, which included six All-Star appearances and two NBA titles.

He was also honored by Pat Riley.

Then the jersey went up and Bosh gave a short speech to the crowd.

But it wouldn’t have been complete without one last scream.

Bosh is the fourth Heat player to have his number retired and fifth overall, joining Alonzo Mourning, Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Hardaway and Michael Jordan.

He joined the Heat in free agency during the 2010 offseason, leaving the Toronto Raptors after seven seasons. With Chris Bosh, the Heat would go on to win 15 playoff series and two NBA championships in 2012 and 2013.

Raised in the Charlotte, N.C. area Steph Curry attended school there and credits the community and the people of Charlotte for helping mold him into the man he is today. To celebrate his homecoming for NBA All-Star 2019, he wanted to make sure to give back and show some home court love.

With help from Under Armour, Chase and Charlotte Housing Authority, the Stephen and Ayesha Curry Family Foundation unveiled a revitalization of the Carole Hoefener Center, a renovation that included the gymnasium, education center, kitchen and much more.

“We chose the Carole Hoefener Center because their priorities are similar to my family’s priorities: equal opportunities for education, access to and more knowledge about nutrition and wellness and having a safe and inspiring place to play. I am excited to see my hometown community engage in the new space, and we deeply believe in its ongoing impact.”

In attendance for the big reveal was Stephen, Ayesha, Dell, Sonya, Seth and Damion Lee and Sydel Curry-Lee. Stephen, Seth and Dell all participated in a Shooting Stars competition co-sponsored by Eastbay x Champs Sports and a slam dunk showcase by the Flight Brothers wowed the crowd. The event wrapped with a special performance by Lil Yachty.

In partnership with the NBA, Under Armour, RISE, Nancy Lieberman Charities, Seth and Dell Curry unveiled two new outdoor courts at the Naomi Drenan Recreation Center. This is the center where Stephen and Seth first learned the game, and spent countless hours on the court growing into the NBA players they would become.

The event also served as a launching pad to bring the Building Bridges through Basketball program to Mecklenburg County. Courtesy of Under Armour, the NBA and RISE, this program uses basketball to facilitate conversation and act as a vehicle for positive change by getting the youth community to talk and share experiences with local law enforcement.

The new courts are now officially open to the public.
