Today, Casio announces the release of the GST-B100RH, the latest G-SHOCK model in collaboration with professional basketball player, Rui Hachimura.

As the second Japanese player to be drafted in the NBA, Hachimura has been an all-star player of team G-SHOCK at the outset of his successful first year with the Washington Wizards. As part of his partnership, he is the first athlete to release a signature model with the brand. Overseeing the design process from start to finish, Hachimura wanted the watch to yield emblematic features including a hachi (8 in Japanese) logo representing his last name and jersey number.

Stemming from the analog chronograph GST-B100 of the venerable G-STEEL series, Hachimura’s signature timepiece boasts a black base color amplified with edgy gold ion planting (IP) to the metal parts as well as bold, red accents applied to the index mark and button pipe at the 8 o’clock position. The Black Samurai logo is on the case back, strap keeper, and case.

Hachimura had this to say about the partnership,” G-SHOCK has come up with an amazing watch that perfectly captures the design I envisioned. It was also cool to see my special “Black Samurai logo” design included on the watch, as it is an important symbol to me.”

The GST-B100RH (MSRP of $480) will be available for purchase end of August at select G-SHOCK retailers, G-SHOCK Soho Store, and gshock.com.

Today, the McDonald’s All American Games is unveiling this year’s 2017 adidas uniform collection. The collection pairs the latest uniform innovations with design elements that speak to the rich history of the Games and celebrate Chicago.

To add an element of personalization, the 2017 adidas uniforms will incorporate the various sports cities and states where each athlete hails from. Specifically, the back of each jersey’s neck sports the outline of each player’s home state while the front of the jersey reads “Class of 2017” above the jock tag.

Players will also lace-up the latest adidas basketball footwear in two pinnacle styles, Harden Vol. 1 and Crazy Explosive Primeknit. The custom edition Harden Vol. 1 has laser-etched stars on the leather toe and the Crazy Explosive Primeknit shoe has pinstripes on the bootie. Each shoe has the best of adidas footwear innovations, including a red full-knit upper, full-length BOOST mid-soles and a metallic gold glossy finish on the three stripes while the McDonald’s All American Games logo is featured on the tongue.

adidas and McDonald’s today debuted the new uniform and footwear collection for players competing during the 39th Annual McDonald’s All American Games at Chicago’s United Center on March 30. The collection brings the latest adidas technology to the nation’s best high school basketball players, including both men’s and women’s jerseys that feature a modernized pinstripe design to celebrate Chicago’s iconic sports history.

The men’s collection features a three color uniform system that incorporates black and white sleeved jerseys with red accents, color-blocked game shorts and a nod to the uniforms of Chicago’s professional sports teams with pinstripe detailing. Constructed with 3M reflective materials, the jersey name and layered-numbering are hit with a metallic finish. The shorts are designed with an enlarged star and McDonald’s logo on the right leg and a graphic print on the underside of the waistband that reads “All American” when rolled up.

Comprised of red and white jerseys with black accents, the women’s collection features diagonal pinstripes along the racerback top and short bottom, pops of color on the jersey collar and reflective name and numbers. The shorts display an enlarged star and McDonald’s logo on the lower right leg, as well as a pattern comprised of McDonald’s iconic Golden Arches on the inside the waistband.

This year’s POWERADE® Jam Fest, to be held at Chicago Theatre on March 28, includes a black and yellow uniform designed with reflective pinstripes along the men’s sleeves, women’s jersey top and on both short’s extended waistband and trim. Jersey numbers, names and the McDonald’s logo on the short are designed with reflective hits, while the McDonald’s Golden Arches logo is showcased when the waistband is rolled up.

The partnership between Stance and Dwyane Wade continues on with the release of their Fall 2015 collection.

When the current NBA uniform and apparel contract with adidas reaches completion at the end of the 2016-17 season, Nike will begin its tenure as the official sportswear provider to the league.

After agreeing to a eight-year partnership, terms of this outfitting deal differ in several key ways from the current NBA deal. The biggest being that the current Nike deal states that the Swoosh logo will be visible on the in-game uniforms; not just the tags.

Reading thru the statement, what caught my eye is that two other major basketball properties in Nike Inc. (Jordan Brand & Converse) was named several times. That leaves the door open for NBA collaborative products across Nike/Jordan/Converse sportswear spectrum.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and NIKE, Inc. (NIKE) announced today an eight-year global merchandising and marketing partnership that will make NIKE the official oncourt apparel provider beginning with the 2017-18 NBA season.

The basketball sock market has exploded in the last few years thanks largely to the sportswear brands shifting back to the high sock look. Seeing the opportunity, company Stance filled a void by offering stylish options at a quality high enough to rival the leading sportswear brands that were doing it. Their success has led to the NBA taking notice and have put themselves in position to be the official on-court brand of socks.

Starting in the 2015-16 NBA season, Stance socks will be worn on the court by all 30 NBA teams with at least two colorway options for each. This news shouldn’t be a surprise as Stance was worn during the 2015 All-Star Game in NYC back in February.

Klay Thompson also joins the Stance family of NBA players which already includes Dwyane Wade, Andre Drummond, and Chandler Parsons.
