If the raptors get involved with this whole trade ordeal it could go both ways… Considering most ppl know that a PG trade is goin down everyone knows it isnt going to be 1 for 1 with the players being swapped.. If the raptors think that tossing in Anthony Parker will bring in better support for the team they are surely mistakin … Parker is not only the heart of the raptors but one of their most consistent scorers. Giving up someone of his level would be another huge mistake the raps made like the 1 a few years ago when they could of sent Vince Carter to the Hornets for an exchange of Baron Davis and Jamaal Magloire…. Colangelo dont f*#k up : )

LOL i dont like this deal at all…why would we have to put in the 17th pick? ford is worth more than diaw…and ford wants to be on a team that he is a starter on. not behind steve nash. i dont think this is the piece the raptors want for ford

the team altogether needs defense/rebounds and a 20+ point scorer (preferably a 2 or a 3). to get good value in a trade with ford, we should get a scorer in return for ford and maybe someone else. that being said, i like the maggette trade (or acquisition)

I think this trade works for both teams. the SUns spent too much money on Diaw and they desperatley need a good back up for Nash.
if the Raps packaged another player along with FOrd then the trade would make more sense. maybe a Joey Graham or Jamario Moon?
the problem with Ford in TO was that Calderon finally broke out of his back up role and show’d everyone that he is a top PG in the NBA. TJ couldnt stand losing his starting spot based on an injury. With the SUns TJ would step in and back up a 2 time MVP and be on a team that wins 55+ games a year. an easy transition to a competitive player like TJ.
the raps would get a versatile player in Diaw with a decent sized salary that can rebound and score. i like this trade, but I am a raps fan

i don’t mind this deal if the raptors dont throw in the 17th pick. if the 17th pick is crucial, then i would like to see this deal expanded to include barbosa and someone on the raptors side. still leaves rebounding and defensive holes in the raptors lineup. would definitely be the first of at least one more move.

This would be a way better trade for Toronto then Phoenix. Diaw would fit perfectly with Bosh in T-Dot, but I don’t know why Suns would want TJ. Nash is basically like a version of Calderon on steroids. TJ didn’t get along with Calderon both wanting to be the man. How would it be different in Phoenix.

Suns would be dumb to do the trade.
