In reply to ARTHUR V. GAMO. I would say he more like the third or fourth best player right now (excluding russell). I think presti is thinking he has value because he makes a little more than 9mil a year. Which is less than the going rate for a seven footer. Regardless is a good defender and I would love to have him back with the Celtics.

Right now, Perkins is the second most important player in the Thunder’s roster. It will be unwise — indeed, stupid — for the Thunder management to “amnesty” him. It doesn’t seem to be the right way of re-structuring the team. In the first place, there’s a tremendous shortage of capable centers in the league.
